THE ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is one of Canada's largest museums and one of the world's most prestigious cultural institutions dedicated to world cultures and natural history. With a collection of more than 6 million artifacts, and research and conservation activities that span the globe, the ROM has established itself as a must-see destination while in Toronto. In 2007, the ROM was dramatically re-energized with the addition of the extraordinary Daniel Libeskind-designed Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, a building recognized as one of the seven wonders of the architectural world by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. This provocative new landmark has sparked city-wide excitement and has fundamentally altered our cultural landscape. The ROM welcomes more than 1 million visitors each year to visit its galleries, participate in educational programs and view compelling temporary exhibitions, such as Water: The Exhibition and Maya: Sacred Kings & Queens.
